Our volunteers really make a difference to our organisation and to other local organisations, and you can be apart of that too.
Positive Futures relies on dedicated people sharing their valuable time to help the young people in our community. We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities open to everyone from aged 14, working directly with young people, fundraising, or organising events.
Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and meet new people. Our volunteers are encouraged to be creative with new ideas for fundraising activities and events. No matter whether you’re 14 or 40, have never volunteered or just want to get some experience, our team will welcome you on board and you’ll soon be making a difference!
Volunteering also looks great on your CV and it can help you learn new skills which will hopefully help you too!! As a volunteer you will be offered on-the-job training to increase your skills, or maybe you have a skill that you want to share with others.
“I have learnt a lot since becoming a volunteer, not only to help me in my future career, but also in gaining skills. Before I worked with them, I didn’t like talking, but now I feel my communication skills are much better”
Research shows that volunteering really does have a positive impact on health. It raises self-esteem and confidence, helps people gain new skills and to make new friends.
