Liverpool Children’s ‘home away from home’ celebrates ‘Good’ news.

Positive Futures Homes in Liverpool are delighted to announce they have been rated ‘Good’ in all 3 areas of the inspection framework by Ofsted having only opened the doors to young people last August.

Positive Futures Homes is a social enterprise dedicated to providing the highest standards in residential care for children, young people and investing in their long-term positive futures. Having only opened in August 2022, they are absolutely delighted to have recently been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted following an inspection in December 22, giving reassurance of the excellent quality of care, safeguarding and support they provide to the young people living at the children’s home.

Just a short distance from the well established partner charity Positive Futures, which provides services to young people to ‘Empower them to achieve their potential’, Positive Futures Homes prides themselves on giving young people in their care a sense of belonging.

Pam Constance, Director of the Home said “We believe in helping every young person to achieve their full potential, regardless of circumstance, and are delighted to have been recognised so early on for the high quality of care and support we provide the young people living at the home.” The Registered Manager and staff team are committed to supporting our young people and this is recognised and acknowledged in our report, we have a fantastic team who focus on relationship building, our inspection report quotes “Overall, staff have the warmth, skills and confidence to build positive relationships with children. The manager and staff know the children extremely well. Children know that the manager and staff are on their side.”

Clare Corran, CEO of Positive Futures said “I’d like to thank the amazing team at the home for going above and beyond to provide a caring, safe environment where our young people feel a sense of belonging. It’s credit to them, and to the young people themselves that they’ve achieved this status, after having only opened last summer. We want to help as many young people as possible at Positive Futures, and the children’s home working alongside the Positive Futures charity gives us extra opportunity to empower young people to achieve their potential.”
